To Bone and Back

THE BONE RACE!
This year's team:  Kobe, Alex, Jill, Kelly, Brandon, Cory, Shamae, and myself.

Here's Kobe starting us off in 4th place.

"How old is that kid?"
"You're about to get passed by a little kid!"

Kobe smoked 'em!

The Handoff

aaaand there goes Alex.

My favorite part of this picture is Kelly.

We made it to the Bone Store... in the middle of nowhere.  How's this place still open?

I must mention that as Kelly was running there was a high school team ahead of him cheering their teammate on.  One team member yelled "don't let that old guy pass you!"  Yeah, that was great!

 Yay! Go, Mom!

 This picture's so awesome!

 and me!

 coming in for the finish

 Look how awesome we are.
 The Masters Division

Weldon ran the last bit with Weldon's Favorites.

Yeah! First place in the family division.

As a personal update into my life...
Alex and Kobe will be proud of me.  I joined in on an Ultimate Frisbee game and socialized at our YSA Stake FHE.  I was pretty awesome.  I hit the Frisbee out of Adam’s hand and shouted SMACK DOWN!  I met all the people that I played with and against afterward.  Yay! Meeting people!
aaand..
I found the picture I took of Amanda's bed after I covered it with Walmart bags.  Last school year, she would save them all and they were taking over the cabinet under the sink and so I put them on her bed.  Then Liesl gave me the ones from their apartment and so did Maddie.  It was great, and quite GENIUS if I might say so myself.

Next Year

Hello, it's been awhile since I last posted something.  Just thought that I'd let you all know I got the RA position for next year.  Also, I'm continuing with the Electrical Engineering classes.

First Few Days of College

I moved onto campus two weeks before move-in day because I am a Community Assistant, which is the assistant to the Residential Assistant.  Mostly I'm in charge of the residence hall with five other girls.  There's at least six in each hall.  We had our training week and then helped with move-in day.  All of the other leaders are really awesome people and I'm glad that I could make friends with them all.

I have survived the first three days of college!  My roommates have been here for a week and no major conflicts have arose.  The one I share a room directly with, Po, is from Hong Kong.  She mostly hangs out with the other Asian international students, but she's polite and respectful and doesn't do any strange things which is something to be grateful for.  My other roommates, Amanda, Tesia, and Michelle, all seem nice and we get along with each other.
Last Tuesday, my friend, Oliana, was re-dyeing her hair from dark pink to purple.  The pink had faded so much that it was an interesting red-ish to pinky-orange gradient.  So, we had a hair dyeing party.  It started with Raquel dyeing Oli's hair.  There was extra dye and Raquel said it would be cool to dye the tips of my hair.  I agreed and let her dye mine.  I think its pretty sweet!  Here are some pictures:

We also put a streak in Hannah's hair and bleached streaks in Elisha's.  It's faded since I took those picture, but I still think it looks good.  I hope it stays awhile.

Welcome to Blogger

It's official. I have a blog.
..Well, this summer I haven't been up to much.  I've been working a ton and saving money and good stuff like that.  I'm about ready for college to start so I'll at least have something to do.  Out of boredom and a spurt of creativity, I started to make a papier mache dragon.  I'll let you know how it goes later...
I did get my hair cut short and I really like it. (It's not the greatest picture, but it's a picture.)
